Festival Fashion – What to Wear during this Year’s Festival Season
What to Wear to a Festival for Men
Whether you are going festival crazy at Coachella, Balearic at Bennicassim or losing your mind at Latitude? One thing is guaranteed – you will need to be equipped with the most functional, best looking festival attire to ensure you can not only survive the weekend, but also look your best throughout.
The festival season across the globe has just started and before you know it they will be coming round thick and fast. The last thing you want is to be left floundering trying to find last minute outfits.
The festival season can be the highlight of the year and you are going to want to look your best. So whether you are hitting one in the UK or planning a few global festival adventures, this blog will provide you with a selection of the best festival attire around.
Men’s Festival Attire
Whilst the summer generally coincides with festival season you can never be too sure of the weather (certainly not in the UK). You don’t want to be caught out at the main stage when the rain starts to pour and you have nothing on but your statement t-shirt. We would advise you to take a lightweight jacket to protect you from the unpredictable elements.
K-Way Yellow Mustard Le Vrai 3.0 Claude Jacket
This K-Way jacket is the perfect for a festival. Not only do we love the mustard colour, but it also packs away into a small side pouch with an over the shoulder strap #handy.
Ellesse Sterling Blue Rimini Track Top Jacket
Track jackets have become a staple for men’s fashion in recent years and they are a nifty addition to festival attire that really captures some 80s magic. For a great look pair this track jacket with a plain white tee, black jean shorts and round it off with white converse.
Statement t-shirts do just what they say on the tin… make a statement.
They are easy to wear, comfortable and can match with a number of outfits for a casual look. Generally you can assume that most statement t-shirts will come in a normal or oversized fit. Consider which look you are going for before selecting the size you would like.
If you do opt for an oversize fit then you should contrast this with the fit of your shorts/jacket. Here are a few options we have selected.
Tommy Jeans Black Essential Magnified T-Shirt
Calvin Klein Blue Shadow Graphic Hooded T-Shirt
Superdry Slam Green Trophy Chest Band T-Shirt
We’re going to keep our fingers crossed that whichever festival you are attending this season, it will be hot enough to wear shorts. Opting to wear jeans could leave you far too hot when crammed into a festival tent, plus shorts have a much more festival vibe to them. You have two options to choose from – denim shorts or sweat shorts. Either work well at a festival.
Levi’s Light Blue 511 Slim Hemmed No Place Like Home Denim Shorts
A classic summer colour for shorts – light blue and washed out.
When wearing a lighter shade on your shorts you have to compliment this by wearing a darker colour on top.
Converse Black Core Sweat Shorts
There is nothing better than pairing your trainers with your shorts and as converse are definitive festival wear it would be senseless for us not to pair the two together.
Converse White Chuck Taylor All Star Hi Trainers
The white Chuck Taylor hi-top is the pinnacle of festival footwear. They are old-school, classic and perfect with almost every outfit. However if it is particularly wet (or really busy) then expect that these will not come out white at the end #RiskyBusiness.
Saucony Grey/Blue Shadow 5000 Vintage Suede Trainers
The Saucony shadow boasts as another exceptional footwear option. These trainers feel like they are fresh off the feet of Marty McFly and they bring vintage style straight from 1985 #Retro.
Men’s Festival Wear
There are many looks that you can go for when attending a festival and there are a number of options available to you. Remember to consider the weather before you plan your outfit. You don’t want to be left in rain with nothing to wear or hotter than an oven when you’re crammed into a tent.
Trainers are the way forward as you will be spending a lot of time on your feet, dancing and exploring what the festival has to offer.
