If your boyfriend, husband or significant other wants to stop shaving and grow out his stubble or grow a moustache, don’t freak out just yet.
Having a tash or beard is now the essence of manliness and the height of fashion. This intense rise in facial hair popularity has brought along with it many people whose beards are just as famous as they are – celebrities you can’t help but admire for their beard-growing abilities. Many of these hairy guys have built their empires on Instagram. Here’s a few of our favourites…
1. @willitbeard
If it will fit in a beard, it will happen here. Will It Beard puts different household objects to the test, seeing whether they can fit into a full beard with style. From food to craft supplies, rubber duckies, and even lit sparklers, there is nothing Pierce Thiot won’t try to fit in his beard.
2. @Incredibeard
Incredibeard proves you can make an impressive amount of things out of one beard. Isaiah Webb, better known as Incredibeard, is a prime example of a beard being just as famous as the person growing it. This is a beard that truly makes you do a double take. Incredibeard styles his insanely long facial hair into everything and anything, usually keeping in time with current events, and it’s always interesting to see what he’ll come up with next.
3. @thegaybeards
Official originators of the magnificent glitter beard. Brian and Johnathan, two best friends from Portland, started an absolute craze when they filled their beards with flowers and posted it on Instagram. Since then they’ve only got more and more popular. They now post regularly, filling their beards with everything from cheese puffs to moss to dandelions. It’s anyone’s guess what they’ll put in their beards next.
4. @sir_ndrewsilver
This account is jammed packed full of motorbikes, tattoos and damn right coolness. If you like Sons of Anarchy then this one is definitely for you. This talented artist brings to mind visions of classic Americana and all that it stands for.
5. @billyhuxley
UK native Billy Huxley, a heavily tattooed ASOS model will definitely meet your beard needs. His striking beard and epic tattoos are not exactly status quo in the mainstream modelling industry, but they seem to be making major waves, landing him some of the best modelling gigs around. His Instagram account includes a combination of beard selfies and professional shots, with the classic modern appeal that compliments the high fashion life.
In a recent poll, 77% of voters decided they are most definitely beard-lovers so we’re going to put our money on them staying in style for the foreseeable future. Here’s a few of Standout’s favourites to help you perfect your look with your new found facial hair…
